Christmas dinner would not be the same without gravy, so why not try Aldi’s vegan take on the classic?

  • 1 Celery
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Clove of Garlic
  • 100 g Chestnut
  • Mushrooms
  • 15 ml Rapeseed Oil
  • 35 ml Light Soy Sauce
  • 600 ml Boiling Water
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 dsp Tomato Pureé
  • White Pepper
  1. Peel the onion and carrot and chop with the celery. Chop the mushrooms and leave to one side.. Peel and mince the garlic.
  2. Add them all to a pan with the oil and sauté.
  3. Add the mushrooms, water, soy sauce, paprika, pureé and pepper.
  4. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Strain the mix through a sieve and serve.
