Homemade Vegan Margarine

Go back to basics with FLORA by making your own vegan margarine at home with only three steps and five ingredients. The recipe makes about 250G of margarine, about the size of a small tub or block of store-bought margarine.

  • 225 225 ml coconut oil
  • 150 150 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 0.25 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 2 tsp carrot juice

Method

  1. Melt the coconut oil
  2. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl on top of another bow with ice, until thick (consistency is similar to Greek yogurt)
  3. Transfer mixture in a tub, and refrigerate for 6-8 hours (overnight)
