Sälen is known for having great slopes and amazing restaurants. It is Sweden’s most popular Ski Resort and when the winter starts it sees around two million visitors flocking to the resort. Singer Yajna is your guide to this lovely winter paradise and its best vegan restaurants.
To eat great food from the nearby areas you will find amazing food and new ways of thinking when it comes to food:
Fro is a very homely, log style, comfortable restaurant. ‘Fro’ is the Swedish word for seed and this is the ethos of this restaurant, with fresh local produce a priority.
According to the website: “We make artisan food from scratch..prepared from the heart” in a setting “where you come to treat yourself after a long day on the slopes.”
If you want to eat lovely vegan burgers and lovely side orders then look no further than Gustav Grill and Bar.
The bar is located just by the bottom of one of Sälen’s most popular slopes. It has easy access to the restaurant from the slopes and they also offer you a fully packed and fun time at their Apres Ski.
If you want to eat lovely vegan sushi I would really recommend the SeaFood Bar. It is located at the five-star Hotel of Högjället which offers guests a luxurious stay and a stunning view of the amazing mountain slopes.
If you want to have a taste of Italy then be sure to visit Appetito. The staff are super friendly and super professional. It is located nearby Högfjället.
I love going to Appetitoto to share the best tapas in this very Swedish styled setting with open fires.
