Superdrug has unveiled a vegan pop-up shop this week in Shoreditch to give conscious consumers the chance to easily shop for cruelty-free and vegan makeup and skincare.
On 21st March 2018, ‘The Little Vegan Pop Up Shop’ by Superdrug is opening its doors and allows customers to discover vegan makeup, skincare and more.
Veganism continues to grow in popularity and for the past few years Superdrug has been focusing on changing formulations to be able to offer its biggest ever range of products which are suitable for vegans.
The Pop-Up shop is open for 3 months and houses products you can only get at Superdrug, all of which are cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
Superdrug acknowledged that it can sometimes be time-consuming trying to tell which beauty products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free when reading the labels in stores, saying: “When you’re shopping for anything vegan, you defs have to spend twice the time browsing. Reading labels and keeping your eyes peeled for leaping bunnies and the vegan stamp of approval can be time-consuming, so we’ve eliminated the challenge.”
Embracing veganism
Simon Comins, Superdrug Commercial Director, said: “We’ve embraced the vegan movement at Superdrug and are delighted that we now offer a thousand products under our own label.
“Vegan customers can come into store and pick up everything they need from hair products to foot spray and everything in between.”
He added: “Our technical team are constantly evolving formulations and meeting technical challenges to make products suitable for vegans. Coupled with our commitment to cruelty-free beauty, everything in our own brand beauty and toiletries range carries the leaping bunny symbol of Cruelty Free International, our customers tell us that they’ve come to rely on our stores for our own brand products.”
Opening hours
Superdrug’s vegan beauty pop-up is open from 11am to 7pm on weekdays and Saturday, aside from Thursday when it will stay open for an hour later, and on Sunday its hours are 12pm to 6pm. The pop-up is located at Boxpark, Shoreditch, 2-10 Bethnal Green Rd, London, E1 6GY.
Those who live outside of the London area can order the cruelty-free products online through the pop up’s dedicated website.
