All Bar One adds brand new nutritious vegan dishes to its menu

After seeing an incredible 50% increase in the number of dishes sold from their popular Veganuary menu this year, All Bar One has added a whole host of nutritious dishes to the menu – one of which even includes all of your five a day!

The full vegan menu will be available on a 2-4-1 deal as part of Wellness Wednesdays, which aims to encourage more people to make healthy choices when they’re eating out and help meat eaters discover the joys of eating well-prepared vegan food.

The dishes have been carefully created with a registered nutritionist to help fuel both body and mind with fresh, seasonal ingredients that are perfect for summer.

Speaking about the decision to add nutritious, low-calorie options to the menu, All Bar One’s resident nutritionist, Sarah Jackson, said: “After lots of research, recipe development and nutritional analysis we have created four amazing dishes to go into the ‘Nutritious Power-foods’ range. The dishes are not only packed with healthy nutrients but are also full of flavour!”

The new menu includes wholesome bowls like the Supergreen Noodle Laksa, which is packed with pak choi, spinach and beansprouts in a spiced coconut sauce, topped with vermicelli noodles. This dish contains two of your 5 a day and half of your RI for folate and vitamin C.

If you want to pack your daily vegetable quota into one meal then The Power of Five is the dish for you! Comprised of a pan-fried medley of greens, butternut squash, aubergine, mushroom and peppers in a toasted sesame and miso sauce, topped with a rice noodle cracker, this vitamin-rich dish comes in at under 300 calories. If you fancy upping your carbohydrate intake, you have the option to add a side of rice.

Diners can also opt for the Avocado & Black Rice Salad, which is bursting with onion seeds, quinoa, soya beans, baby kale and chilli with a creamy avocado centre, topped with a coconut dressing and tortilla crisp. Rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin B6, this new addition to the menu contains 2 of your 5 a day.

Last but not least is the Moroccan Squash Salad, which consists of roasted butternut squash, spiced quinoa, chickpeas and sugar snap peas, topped with pomegranate and a coconut and turmeric dressing. This dish contains 2 of your 5 a day and is packed full of Vitamin C. If you want to push the boat out you can shake things up by adding tempura seasonal mushrooms.
