Tesco paved the way for plant-based innovation in UK supermarkets with the launch of their Wicked Kitchen range, so it’s no surprise to see their vegan Christmas range is a very jolly affair!
This year, you can enjoy a very vegan Christmas as Tesco has something for everyone. The supermarket’s tempting range of innovative plant-based dishes means you can enjoy a delicious dinner with all the trimmings.
Canapés & Nibbles
Plan a party filled with tasty nibbles with the new Plant Chef Meat Free Mini Not-dogs & Burgers (£5).
These irresistible mini meat-free burgers and plant-based Cumberland sausages in glazed white rolls are perfect for the whole family.
Additionally, wow your guests with Wicked Kitchen’s Mini Mac Party Pots (£4).
The no-fuss individual mini pots are filled with macaroni smothered in a velvety vegan smoked cheese sauce, topped with crispy fried onions, and studded with plant-based chorizo.

That’s why it has bought back its popular Wicked Kitchen, the No-Turkey Roast Crown (£5.00).
This tender and juicy, easy-carve ‘No-Turkey’ crown is made with savoury soy and wheat protein, topped with vegan butter melt and a sage and onion stuffing crumb. It cooks in just 45 minutes and carves like real turkey.
If you prefer veggies to meat alternatives, then you need to try Plant Chef’s Portobello Mushroom Wellington.
This hearty dish features a whole portobello mushroom with soya pieces and mushroom duxelles. It’s nestled in golden plant-based pastry and topped with sweet and tangy beetroot and cranberry stuffing.
Another new main joining the range this year are the Plant Chef Parcels with Beet Sauce & Horseradish Crumb.

This year, the supermarket’s vegan Christmas range includes four brand new festive desserts.
Chocolate lovers will enjoy the Wicked Kitchen’s Chocolate & Salted Caramel Cake (£7) and Wicked Kitchen’s Belgian Chocolate and Salted Caramel Log.
The festive log consists of chocolate sponge, mousse and silky caramel and topped with roasted hazelnuts and chocolate pieces.
Putting a spin on traditional Christmas desserts, Tesco is also offering Wicked Kitchen’s Awesome Apple & Salted Caramel Pies (6 for £2.00) and a Spiced Rum Christmas Pudding.
Waitrose is pulling out all the stops with its vegan Christmas range for 2021!
Stock up on tasty nibbles to munch on through the festive season with Waitrose’s Savoury Vegetable Pies (12 for £5).
These bite-sized pies are the perfect accompaniment to your Christmas cocktail with their mushroom and creamy leek fillings.
Tucking into a festive sandwich at lunch is one of life’s little pleasures!
Waitrose certainly agrees as it is launching a brand new option this year in the form of its Vegan No Lobster Marie Rose Roll (£3).
This vegan brioche-style roll with roasted king oyster mushroom, vegan Marie Rose sauce, semi-dried tomato, and lovage will be a festive treat for all!
Add some extra magic to your plate this year with Waitrose’s Vegan Jewelled Roast with a Fruity Centre (£5.99).
The savoury mushroom-based roast is filled with sweet, caramelised onions and chestnuts. But that’s not all! Cut into it and you will discover a clove-spiced apricot centre topped with dried fruit and nuts.

As a festive treat, the supermarket’s vegan Christmas range is filled with a host of innovative new products like the Vegan Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese (£4 for 2) pots.
Making for a perfect fish-free starter, the pots feature BBQ smoked carrot and marinated potatoes atop a base of coconut-based soft cheese.

Vegan No Turkey Lunch
Co-op is making sure you can enjoy a taste of Christmas dinner long before the big day with its Vegan No Turkey Lunch (£3) sandwich.
Containing all the elements of a Christmas dinner rolled into one, the seasonal sarnie contains vegan turkey and all the trimmings.
Turn up the heat with the new Gro Ho Ho Spicy Fondue (£3.50). This firey vegan cheese dish features a blend of vegan cheeses with a fiery jalapeño chilli kick.
There’s also spring onion and sweet roasted peppers and smoky paprika varieties.
Also new this year is the snackable Gravy Puffs (£1) crisps.
According to the company, maize puffs have been reliant on cheese flavouring for too long. That’s why Co-op’s development chefs decided to create a festive alternative everyone could enjoy: vegan gravy flavoured crunchy maize snacks.
If you’re looking for meat-free stuffing to serve with your main course, pick up the new Gro Ho Ho Stuffing Balls (£2.35) with sage and caramelised onions.
Aldi’s sell-out Vegan Hamper is back by popular demand for Christmas 2021 and it promises to be better than ever before.
The Vegan Hamper (£29.99) is £11 cheaper than M&S’s Vegan Treats Bag and includes a delicious selection of vegan treats.
Inside, you’ll discover delicious products such as the Free From Christmas Pudding, Vegan Cookies, Moser Roth Vegan Salted Caramel Truffles. There’s even a bottle of vegan wine!
