UK dessert brand Gato & Co has launched a brand new selection of vegan and gluten-free sandwich cookies into Boots stores.

Manufacturers are increasingly launching vegan-friendly products, but for those who want to enjoy a vegan and gluten-free sweet treat, options are far more limited.

Gato & Co are filling the gap with the launch of their new range of vegan, gluten-free and palm-oil free sandwich cookies, priced at £1.59 for a pack of two, in Boots stores and online.

The biscuits are made with gluten-free oats and ground almonds instead of flour, and nut butters and coconut oil in place of butter. They’re also high in fibre and the company claims they also contain half the sugar of similar sweet snacks with just 99 calories per cookie making them a great option for those looking to limit their sugar consumption.

According to Gato & Co, the cookies “taste decadent but are guilt-free enough to become a daily sweet treat.”

The range includes four tempting flavours to choose from including the Choc Vanilla cookie sandwich with a smooth vanilla cream filling and Choc Peanut Butter cookies filled with a rich, peanut butter cream.

There’s also Choc Hazelnut Butter cookies with a gooey hazelnut butter filling and Salted Caramel with a tempting choc-salted-caramel filling.

Co-founder of Gato Kim Lamza said: “At Gato, we are passionate about creating super indulgent plant-based products that are better for you, your gut and the planet – the dream!

“Our treats are vegan friendly, packed with natural ingredients and contain much less sugar.”

GATO & Co’s new Cookies N Cream range can be found exclusively at Boots stores nationwide with more stockists to follow from Spring 2020.
