Vegetarian food brand Quorn is expanding its vegan range as they announce the launch of an exciting new addition to their refrigerated items this January: vegan ham-style slices.

Vegetarian food brand Quorn has been keen to add to its vegan range in recent years to meet the growing demand for vegan products, releasing three new vegan-friendly products in 2017; vegan burgers, BBQ Strips and Five Grain Fillets. Quorn also registered its entire vegan range with the Vegan Trademark, calling the logo the “cherry on top” of a very successful launch.

The new product is called Smoky Ham Free Slices and will be available at most major UK retailers by the end of January.

High Protein

Speaking to news outlet Plant Based News, a Quorn spokesperson said: “As the vegan trend continues to boom, Quorn can add some versatility with two new deli lines. “Vegan sandwich fillings are hard to come by – or were in 2017 – but Quorn has come up with the ultimate lunchtime solution with its new products.

“Both are high in protein and the Quorn Chicken Free Slices are low in saturated fat, perfect sandwiched with crunchy lettuce and a dollop of vegan mayonnaise.”

And there’s good news for those who can’t stomach gluten as the spokesperson told Plant Based News: “The best bit? They’re both gluten-free.”
