Budget-friendly supermarket Lidl has announced its 2022 vegan Christmas range, which includes some classic festive favourites

Most of the supermarkets announced their ranges at least a month ago, but Lidl is going for better late than never by finally announcing details of its vegan Christmas dinner options.

As has come to be expected of the popular budget supermarket, prices start at just £1.49 and products include a vegan sausage and cranberry wreath, a sharing wellington, deluxe tartlets and several party food options.

Highlights from the vegan line-up include:

  • Deluxe Vegan Festive Nut & Veggie Roast with Gravy
  • Deluxe Vegan Sausage & Cranberry Wreath
  • Deluxe Winter Sharing Wellington
  • Deluxe Mediterranean Style Vegetable Ragu Tartlets
  • Artisan Grains Nut Roast
  • Partytime Vegetable Spring Rolls
  • Partytime Vegan No Duck Spring Rolls

A vegan family Christmas

One festive item on Lidl’s menu that is sure to be popular is the Deluxe Vegan Festive Nut & Veggie Roast with Gravy.

The individual portion-sized nut roasts come in a pack of two and are available in two different flavours: sage, onion and hazelnut and lentil, pepper and almond. They cost just £2.99.

The Deluxe Vegan Sausage & Cranberry Wreath is another great main dish for vegans and vegetarians alike. Filled with vegan pork and cranberry, the showstopper garland is a pretty addition to any Christmas table and it only costs £4.99.

Alongside the new vegan pork wreath, is the Deluxe Winter Sharing Wellington. This has a mushroom, butternut squash and festive cranberry filling, and is a brilliant budget option priced at only £2.99.

Lidl also has a new vegan tartlet in store this Christmas, filled with a Mediterranean-style vegetable ragu. The tartlets come in packs of two, costing £1.79.

Finally, Lidl is also offering a classic option for all the traditionalists out there – the Artisan Grains Nut Roast. You can choose between three flavours for the nut roast: cranberry and cashew, country veg and cashew and Mediterranean sundried tomato, each costing just £2.29.

It’s party time with the Lidl vegan Christmas range

For those looking for something more along the lines of party food to celebrate both Christmas and New Year, Lidl is also on hand to help.

There are two vegan finger food options in their Partytime selection, both costing just £1.49. They are the vegetable spring rolls and the Partytime No Duck Spring Rolls.

When it comes to vegan party food this year you might need to shop around a bit, but team these with items from Aldi’s vegan Christmas range and the increasingly popular M&S vegan Christmas range and you should be set for a good night.

If you’re looking for something to please those with a sweet tooth, the Favorina Mini Christmas Pudding is also completely vegan. It’s a bargain too at only 69p.
