Now the high-street Italian restaurant chain has unveiled its festive Christmas menu this year it features a whole host of mouth-watering new sweet and savoury vegan dishes, including the Melanzana Tagliatelle and the festive special with rich aubergine and tomato ragu, served with red pepper flecked tagliatelle, crispy sage & purple basil.
To start with, diners can choose from a Vegan Bruschetta with seasonal speciality tomatoes, red onion & roasted garlic marinated in extra virgin olive oil on toasted bread with super green pesto and fresh basil, or the Vegan ‘Beetball’ Polpette.
These vibrant pink beetroot ‘beetballs’ smothered oven-baked in a Pomodoro sauce and topped with melted Mozzarisella brings in the heat with chilli threads and fresh oregano for those who like it hot.
The main event sees the eatery offer diners the choice of both a new pizza and a new pasta dish.
Up first is the Vegan Zucca Classic Pizza which is topped with tomato, Mozzarisella, roasted butternut squash, caramelised balsamic onions and spinach.
Pasta lovers will enjoy the Melanzane Tagilatelle which consists of rich aubergine, tomato, cavelo nero and basil ragu served with red pepper-flecked tagliatelle, crispy sage and purple basil.
For the sweet tooths, the eatery has a Sticky Chocolate & Praline Torte – a dairy-free chocolate torte with a date, hazelnut, almond & walnut base. Served with coconut & chocolate ripple ice cream.
If you fancy something a little bit special, try the Vegan Calzone with warm sugared dough filled with banana, raspberries & strawberry & raspberry coulis. Served with crushed honeycomb & coconut and chocolate ripple gelato.
