Zizzi’s new Autumn menu includes a tempting new vegan dessert.
High-street Italian restaurant Zizzi is launching its Autumn menu nationwide tomorrow (October 16) and it includes a tempting new vegan dessert.
The triple-layered dessert consists of a medley of delicious flavours and textures and features a chocolate chip cookie base, topped with layers of salted toffee and coconut chocolate ganache finished with an indulgent chocolate drizzle and splashes of gold.
Another new vegan option joining the menu tomorrow is the vegan jackfruit pepperoni pizza – a first on the UK high-street.
Zizzi has formed an exclusive partnership with plant-based protein company Jack & Bry to develop the first-ever jackfruit pepperoni pizza, the ‘Jackfruit Italian Hot.
The Jackfruit Italian Hot, which is priced at £10.57, is topped with spicy harissa, roquito chili, vegan Mozzarisella and jackfruit pepperoni.
The pizza is already proving popular with those who’ve tried it as its been voted as the ‘Best Vegan Pizza’ at the PETA Vegan Food Awards 2019 and will be the first vegan dish to be permanently added to the main menu at Zizzi.

Kathryn Wilson, Director of Food Development at Zizzi added: “We’re always looking for new ways to innovate our dishes at Zizzi and ensure that there is something for everyone. Our customers are more conscious than ever in what they’re eating and how it is sourced.
“In the last year, we’ve seen vegan dishes become even more popular, so it’s important to us that we adapt some of our classic dishes so that vegans can also enjoy these perennial favourites. We can’t wait for them to try our first ever jackfruit pepperoni pizza and hear what they think!”
