Waitrose supermarket has added a tempting new dessert to its shelves – vegan cookies & cream cheesecake slices.
Searches for the word ‘vegan’ on Waitrose.com have doubled in the last year, and the retailer is keen to take advantage of the rapidly growing demand for plant-based products by continuing to add more tasty vegan options to its shelves.
Giving those with a sweet tooth something to lust after, the retailer has just launched a new range of cheesecakes from the English Cheesecake Company, and it includes a decadent vegan cookies & cream flavoured cheesecake (£3.89).
Two slices of luxurious vegan chocolate cheesecake are topped with a generous layer of chocolate fudge and sprinkled with chunks of chocolatey cookie sandwiches on a crunchy digestive biscuit base.

The supermarket has also recently revealed details of what vegan products we can expect to see hitting the shelves in stores this Christmas and it includes a whole host of festive treats from a festive wreath made with meat-free apple & cranberry and mushroom & leek bangers to pastry parcels and a selection of sweet desserts.
