If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate World Vegan Month this November, Japanese street food and sushi restaurant, YO!, has launched a new winter menu packed with 7 new vegetarian and vegan-friendly plates.

For a plant-based meal with added spice and flavour, YO!’s Japanese menu is hard to beat. From succulent salads and colourful curries to dairy-free desserts, a whopping third of the new menu is made up of veggie and vegan dishes.

Get stuck into YO! favourite, the Yasai roll (that’s Japanese for vegetables!), which now comes with vegan mayo. Or treat your taste buds with the new Inari Taco golden tofu pockets filled with rice, avocado, ponzu salsa and vegan sriracha mayo.

Hot dishes

Mushroom is the star of YO!’s hot vegan dishes as new plates include the warming Shiitake Mushroom Ramen and flavoursome Mushroom Teriyaki Burger with a steamed bao bun.

Vegans can go katsu-crazy with YO!’s most popular hot dishes – the Tofu or Pumpkin Katsu Curry. If you’re feeling extra peckish you can “Go Large” on curries for a main course-sized portion at only £9.50.

Dessert

The plant-based party doesn’t end there with a number of enticing desserts on offer. Vegans can choose from the Chocolate Pot with a hint of miso and vanilla or a Fresh Fruit Plate, whilst a new vegetarian-friendly Japanese Cheesecake drizzled in salted caramel sauce takes centre stage.

Wash it all down with a gut-friendly Kombucha Kat or delicious Japanese sake!

The new winter menu is now available at YO! nationwide. For more details head to YOsushi.com
