Tesco supermarket recently announced the launch of 45 new plant-based products in stores, including some tasty new options in its Wicked Kitchen range created with pioneering plant-based chef Derek Sarno from Wicked Healthy such as a new selection of meat alternatives and ‘Pot Noodle’ style meals.
Whilst Wicked Kitchen focuses predominantly on savouring dishes and ingredients, a new dessert that’s perfect for chilly autumn days has also joined the range in the form of a wickedly delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding (£4).
This sweet and sticky pud can be enjoyed hot or cold if you need a sugar fix and features a light and fluffy banana and date sponge topped with a richly flavoured ‘bangin’ coconut caramel sauce and sprinkled with shredded coconut and candied ginger.
The new dessert is available to purchase in stores now and customers will soon be able to purchase the new dessert in Tesco’s brand new dedicated plant-based zones which are being rolled out to stores over the coming weeks.
Price drop
Fans of the plant-based range will be pleased to hear that prices for the range will be adjusted in the near future making them more accessible than ever before.
In an exclusive statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Sarno teased: “A little secret and something to look forward to is that all Wicked pricings are being adjusted in the coming weeks to make them more accessible than ever!”
