New startup brand Wibble will debut three 'adult jellies' in January 2021.

Who said jelly was just for kids? Certainly not Wibble founder Laura Jones. She has created a range of vegan-friendly jellies marketed specifically towards adults.

The new range will be launched for Veganary, with three tempting flavours to choose from. The trio of jellies includes Orange and Ginger, Strawberry and Vanilla, and Raspberry and Coconut.

All three varieties contain at least 45% real fruit juice, and clock in at just 35 calories. Additionally, the jellies contain just 6g of sugar and zero artificial additives.

‘Stagnant and child-focused’

Laura is self-professed ‘jelly lover’ and created her brand after being disappointed by the current selection on the market.

“I found the current jelly offering to be quite stagnant and child-focused, and the flavours were quite boring,” she told The Grocer.

So Laura decided to make her own jelly specifically for adults to fill the gap in the market. She left her day job two years ago to experiment with jellies in her home kitchen, and now, she has a manufacturer who produces her gorgeous jellies on a larger scale.

January launch

Laura will be launching her jellies at the most exciting time of the year – Veganuary! She is currently in talks with various retailers, however, her jellies are available for pre-order online.

She also hopes to expand the range post-launch and release limited-edition flavours in addition to some potential alcoholic jellies. Fingers crossed for a pink gin and tonic flavour!

The range will be available at £10 for 6x150g pots.
