Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or find it all a bit too cringey, Waitrose has got you covered this Valentine’s Day with a vegan meal deal for two.

The £20 deal includes a starter, main, two sides, dessert and a bottle of alcoholic or alternative fizz. We hardly miss dining out when dining in is this good!

To start you off, Waitrose has included the Breaded Baking Vegan Melts with Relish. These melting vegan cheese alternatives are coated in a crispy gluten-free crumb and are served with a tangy redcurrant relish.

For the main event, opt for the Vegan Moroccan Swirl, which encases Moroccan spiced vegetables, apricots and raisins in crispy filo pastry.

On the side, choose the Frites – crispy coated thin chips made from British potatoes. Pair your chips with something a bit healthier such as the Cauliflower and Kale Couscous in a lemon dressing, the Wheatberries, Lentils & Green Vegetables in a mint dressing, the Rainbow Salad Bowl, or the Mediterranean Roasting Vegetables.

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s without something sweet. For your dessert, you can indulge in the English Cheesecake Company Vegan Cookies and Cream Cheesecake Slices. These luxurious cheesecake slices feature vegan chocolate cheesecake topped with a layer of chocolate fudge and chunks of Oreo on a buttery digestive biscuit base. Is your mouth watering yet?

To wash it all down, treat yourself to a bottle of fizz. Choose from: the No.1 Cederberg Syrah, the Montidori Sangiovese, San Leo Rosato NV Italy or Noughty Alcohol-Free Organic Sparkling Wine. If you prefer beer, opt for the Beavertown Gamma Ray 4-pack of American Pale Ale.

The Waitrose vegan Valentine’s menu will cost you £20 and will be available from all stores across Valentine’s weekend.

Valentine’s meal deals in other supermarkets

If Waitrose isn’t your usual stomping ground, don’t worry! You can find some equally delicious romantic meal deals in AldiSainsbury’s, TescoAsda and Morrisons, Co-op and M&S this February.

Try Aldi’s range for vegan Chicken Kievs and Choc Pots, or Morrisons for something a bit different this Valentine’s featuring Vegan Chorizo Palmiers and a Mushroom and Leek Pasta Bake.

Tesco will tempt you with some mushroom-y delights and a heart-shaped brownie while Asda will have you moo-ing for more with no-beef burgers and dairy-free chocolate pots.

Alternatively, splash out on a Sainsbury’s meal deal for the higher price of £20 and indulge in vegan steak and chips and GU Salted Caramel Cheesecakes, or choose M&S for a Creamy Peppercorn Pie and Heart-shaped Churros.
