Waitrose supermarket has released details of its brand new vegan products launching this festive season
Summer may be in full swing, but Waitrose supermarket has got us feeling festive as it has just released details of some tasty new vegan products coming this Christmas.
One thing vegans miss at Christmas is being able to enjoy dishes such as baked cheeses, but the retailer has ensured that everyone can enjoy this holiday dish with its new Breaded Vegan Baking Melts with Redcurrent Relish (£4 for 2).
These delectable delights are filled with ‘gooey, moreish, melting coconut-based vegan cheese’ with a hot, golden crisp breadcrumb exterior.
For the main event, Waitrose is releasing Festive Filo Swirls (£6.99 for 2) filled with Moroccan inspired spiced vegetables with apricots and raisins in crispy filo pastry.

The results of our Big Vegan Survey 2019 revealed that customers would like to see retailers offering more premade sandwiches, so many will be happy to hear that they can pick up a vegan wrap this Christmas.
The Roasted Roots with Carrot & Parsnip Falafel Wrap (£3.30) is a hearty spinach tortilla wrap filled with seasoned sweet potato, carrot and parsnip falafel, cannellini bean and parsnip houmous, braised red cabbage relish and spinach.

Successful season
In 2019, the supermarket enjoyed a successful season following the launch of its vegan Christmas range, with sales of its festive vegan range up 40%.
Waitrose saw sales of its canapés, desserts and mains soar over the festive period, with dishes such as the nut roast and the Root En Croute helping drive growth as bestsellers in the range.
So far the retailer has not revealed whether any of the vegan options from last years range will be joining the festive lineup this year.
