Waitrose is introducing vegan jelly avocado sweets as a novel alternative to its popular chocolate avocado Easter egg.
Last year, Waitrose released a chocolate Easter egg shaped like an avocado, which quickly became the supermarket’s fastest selling Easter egg ever.
Although we vegans love a good avocado, sadly as the egg was made with a Belgian chocolate shell and stone and a white chocolate middle it was not suitable for vegans.
To ensure the whole family can enjoy avo-themed Easter treats this year, Waitrose and Partners are introducing some lime flavoured vegan jelly avocados as a novel alternative to the chocolate version.
According to a spokesperson for Waitrose: “They look like very cute mini avocados and make a perfect novel alternative to the chocolate version, perfect for any avo lovers!”
The Vegan Jelly Avocados will be available in a pack of six for £2.50 and will be available from 24th February 2019.
