Guests can now enjoy four new vegan dishes, including; Spicy Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Steamed Buns, Spicy Vegan ‘Short Rib’ Ramen, Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Ramen, and Shu’s ‘Shiok’ Jackfruit.

The high street chain announced its plans to make half its menu plant-based in its ‘2021 Positive Action Plan’ and have delivered the vegan goods 3 months ahead of schedule.

Moreover, Wagamama is urging and incentivising guests to pledge a ‘small choice for big change’ as part of their ‘Plant-Pledge’ campaign to combat climate change.

To equalise its vegan menu, Wagamama has included four new inspiring vegan dishes.

First on the menu is the Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Ramen – Vegan ‘chicken’ in a spicy teriyaki sauce topped with sweetcorn, bok choi, chilli sambal paste, spring onion, and chilli, served on a bed of ramen noodles and vegetable broth. Perfect for warming up our souls during the winter months.

Next is the Spicy Vegan Short ‘Rib’ Ramen – a blend of mushroom and soya protein ‘ribs’ in a sweet and spicy sticky sauce. Served with roasted bok choi, spring onion, chilli, sesame seeds, and noodles served in a rich broth. Delicious!

In addition, the chain has collaborated with chef Shu Han Lee to create its Shu’s Shiok. This flavourful dish includes turmeric and ginger marinated jackfruit, roasted and served on a bed of lemongrass dressed rice, with pickled slaw, radish, chilli, coriander and caramelised lime.

Finally, no meal is complete without scrumptious sides, Wagamama’s Spicy Teriyaki Vegan ‘Chicken’ Steamed Buns will not disappoint! The two fluffy Asian buns are filled with Asian slaw, fried shallots and spicy teriyaki sauce. How can we resist?
