With the sales of vegan cheese experiencing a 25% growth last year, vegan cheese is getting all of the attention. Saputo Dairy UK’s dairy-free brand, Vitalite is the next brand to take their first steps into the plant-based cheese world.

Made from coconut oil, with added calcium and vitamin B12, the brand new dairy-free cheese launched in selected Asda stores nationwide and is also available on TheVeganKind Supermarket. It is sold as a 200g block (£2.30) and a 200g slices (£2.50).

Emilie Grundy, senior brand manager at Saputo Dairy UK commented: “Consumers are increasingly switching to free-from diets and one of the foods they miss most when they go dairy-free is cheese.”

“Our Vitalite dairy-free cheese alternative range has been specially formulated to ensure that it delivers on taste whilst performing very similarly to traditional cheese when cooked. We are confident our launch will appeal to both current dairy avoiders and those who are exploring the category for the first time,” she added.
