Vintage Inns has added a brand new vegan menu to its chain of pubs across the UK, and we were lucky enough to be able to try it out for ourselves…

We all know the dilemma – we’re trying to arrange an outing with friends or family who don’t want to go to a vegan restaurant, but we still want to be able to enjoy our food and have some choice of what we eat.
Vintage Inns has come up with the perfect solution by adding a new vegan menu to its offerings. And rather than just having one or two choices, there are around three starters ranging from Soup of the Day to Chickpea & Lentil Falafel with a Spiced Red Pepper Dip, five mains including Roasted Vegetable Tart, Coconut Vegetable Curry and Roasted Miso Aubergine Roll with a Chipotle Dip, plus four desserts such as Treacle & Pecan Tart, Coconut Panna Cotta Style Pudding and Rich Chocolate Tart.

We went along to our local branch, The Globe Inn at Newton St Loe, Bath and were amazed at the choice on offer and the quality – it was delicious!
We recommend the Roasted Vegetable Tart with kale and thyme pastry and creamy leeks at the bottom, and the Rich Chocolate Tart.
We have to do a shout out and thanks to the team that served us, as they couldn’t have done a better job – Manager Heather Legg, Kitchen Manager Andy Stirling, our Waitress Holly Clark and the Sous Chef Andrew Dorey.
