The festival season may be cancelled, and indoor events and exhibitions shut, but that hasn’t stopped the UK’s leading vegan events company VegfestUK celebrating the summer in style with a 3-day vegan extravaganza hosted online.

The event is free for the public to attend and registration is available here www.vegfest.co.uk/summerfestonline/visit.

The event will feature a number of stalls with plenty of vegan businesses exhibiting along with new products and special offers – and there is an array of information all things vegan in the form of Live stream chats, panels and debates plus a host of pre-recorded presentations available to watch across the weekend. And there’s a chance to meet some of the speakers and presenters in the live chat rooms during the 2-day fiesta.

Free to attend

“The closure of events this year has been dramatic, and very disruptive for a number of vegan businesses that rely on the multitude of vegan events across the UK to meet new customers, sell their products, market their brands and establish trade contacts and media coverage along the way” says Tim Barford, the organiser of VegfestUK and the man behind two decades of large scale vegan events that have attracted hundreds of thousands of people to the vegan way of life.

“In addition,” adds Barford, “the vegan events serve to reach out to new people curious about the benefits of plant-based diets and lifestyle choices, and the ethics of veganism as a way of life, and the advent of the online event helps with both these issues’.

“Exhibiting at an online event is a lot cheaper and easier for most vegan businesses, and with the event being free to attend for the public, also a lot easier to attract people new to the vegan way of life. And in addition, there are a multitude of people excluded from ‘Live’ events, be that for reasons of mobility, illness, child or dependency care, logistics, location, budget, dislike of crowds or indoor spaces, with animals to look after, or a number of other reasons.

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming a whole new crowd to our events, as well as our established fan club of attendees.”

Trade & Media Day

The event also sees a dedicated Trade and Media day taking place on Friday Aug 14th, bringing extra value to the vegan businesses that have been hit the hardest by the Covid-19 crisis, as well as a cheap and low maintenance opportunity for Independent health store retailers, caterers and hospitality sectors to access the latest in plant-based living.

Registration is free and visitors are invited to share the event far and wide and visit the exhibitors stalls during the weekend to help support the independent vegan businesses finding their way back into the market places after the effects of lockdown.
