After the success of the recent five-day Vegan Cycle India challenge in Rajasthan, Veganuary has announced that applications for the six-day sponsored cycle challenge in Kerala are now open!
This challenge (which will take place in February 2020) consists of a 244-mile trip, beginning at Kochi and passing through stunning countryside and biodiverse forests.
Participants will see temples, spice gardens, paddy fields and cardamom estates, as well as the famous curved dam at Idukki. The nights are spent at quality hotels and eco lodges, and delicious vegan food is provided every day.
The experience intends to bring vegans and ‘pregans’ together for an unforgettable trip. All money collected will go towards spreading the Veganuary message further around the world.
Says Matthew Glover, co-founder of Veganuary: “Vegan Cycle India is absolutely a highlight of my year. Friendships are formed as we pedal through incredible landscapes, spotting wildlife as we go.
“You don’t need to be an elite athlete to take part, which is lucky for me! You just need to be reasonably fit and want to have a go. I can’t wait. In fact, I’ve already signed up.”
