Pizza giant PizzaExpress has announced its first 100% vegan pizzeria in London as it celebrates the launch of its biggest ever vegan menu.
Calling all vegan pizza lovers! The first Vegan PizzaExpress has opened its doors in London.
The brand’s first pop-up vegan-only pizzeria is now open in London’s Aldwych on The Strand.
Pizza lovers of all kinds can enjoy a wide range of plant-based pizzas, from much-loved classics to new cheesy creations.

PizzaExpress has become a high-street hotspot for vegans and meat-eaters alike.
Serving up a wide variety of plant-based goodness, from veganised PizzaExpress classics to vegan calzones and desserts.
The opening of the popup Vegan PizzaExpress in celebration of the chains brand-new menu, launching Tuesday 21st September.
Not only will it feature even more new vegan additions, but also five vegan versions of the most famous PizzaExpress favourites.
Moreover, diners can enjoy new dishes such as the Vegan Diavolo. This plant-based pizza is topped with smoky jackfruit ‘pepperoni’ from Jack & Bry, Quorn pieces, and vegan mozzarella.
Not only that, it’s a flavour explosion with tabasco, smoky chilli, garlic oil, fennel seeds, tomato, green peppers and onions.
Why not sink your teeth into PizzaExpress’ Vegan American Hot. A vegan take on the chain’s classic pepperoni pizza, it’s topped with smoky jackfruit ‘pepperoni’, tomato and vegan mozzarella alternative.
For added heat, you can also top it with your choice of hot green, hot & sweet chilli or jalapeno peppers. Yum!
Although we are yet to see a full menu from the new vegan popup, we know we will be spoilt for choice!

“A taste of what was to come”
In a statement made to Vegan Food & Living, Food & Beverage Director at Pizza Express, Jane Treasure, said: “The launch of our Sloppy Vegan this summer was just a taste of what was to come.
“Every single one of our new vegan pizzas stays true to the unique flavours of the original versions.”
Treasure declared that it took over a year to develop the new vegan pepperoni, ensuring its taste and texture matched the animal alternative.
Pizza Express’ Chief Customer Officer, Shadi Halliwell, added: “Vegan PizzaExpress is our first restaurant that will serve our vegan menu exclusively and is a true showcase of these authentic flavours that we’ve been perfecting since 1965.
“We’re thrilled to finally open the doors and can’t wait to welcome everyone.”
