Vegan pizza chain Purezza is taking on the North with a new site opening up in Manchester's Northern Quarter..

Iconic vegan pizza chain Purezza is expanding out of the South and taking up residence in the Northern city of Manchester.
Purezza’s first site opened in Brighton in 2015, and since then has opened up a further four sites in Brixton, Camden, Hove and Bristol.
The huge success of Purezza arguably comes from their homemade dairy-free cheese which was perfected in a lab before debuting on wood-fired vegan pizzas years later.
The chain even won the National Pizza of the Year award in 2018, beating 14 dairy-cheese pizzas to the top spot!
The new vegan restaurant in Manchester will be competing with other pizzerias Proove Pizza and Four Site Pizza in the vegan market, but we’re sure Purezza will do just fine!
In fact, the chain just secured enough funding to break into the retail market with its vegan mozzarella, meaning consumers will be able to recreate their pizzas at home. It will be opening an 8,000 square foot factory to mass-produce the signature Italian brown rice milk mozzarella and launch onto shelves across the country.
Purezza’s huge success across the South is an indicator of changing attitudes towards vegan alternatives, and we can’t wait for this vegan pizzeria to take over the world.

What’s on the menu?
Purezza’s menu is of course 100% vegan, and with 11 different pizzas, there’s definitely something for everyone.
Pizza options include ‘The One with the Potatoes’ featuring a white base with smoked mozzarella, oven-baked potatoes and shaved seitan and ‘The One That’s Telling Porkies’ topped with melted cheddar, wild forest mushrooms, pulled BBQ pieces and sundried tomatoes.
On the side, try the Pesto Dough Balls, Courgetti Spaghetti and Garlic Bread loaded with rosemary and plenty of garlic.
We aren’t sure exactly when the Manchester branch of Purezza will open, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled on their socials!
