The UK’s leading child-friendly yoghurt brand Petits Filous has launched a new range of vegan yoghurts in a bid to provide dairy-free options for children.
Petits Filous’ latest release will be the first plant-based venture from the brand and is now available in the UK at Tesco for £2.35 (RRP).
The dairy-free yoghurt will be made from almond milk and come in the brand’s best-selling raspberry flavour.
Moreover, Petits Filous declared the launch is a result of increasing demand from parents wanting greater vegan dairy options for their children.
Petits Filous goes vegan
The French brand prides itself on providing healthy snack alternatives for children, and the dairy-free yoghurts are an excellent source of calcium and vitamin D for little ones.
In a statement made to Vegan Food & Living, Petits Filous’ Head of Marketing Joanna Goodman shared: “In recent years we’ve seen an increase in families seeking dairy-free alternatives, either due to intolerances or simply as a lifestyle choice.
“With limited healthy snacking options available in this space, we wanted to ensure children who don’t eat dairy can still enjoy the benefits of our yoghurts.”

Vegan kids
Following the rise of the vegan movement, more parents are making the decision to raise their children vegan.
A well-balanced vegan diet is one of the best way to ensure your child is getting the right nutrition to support their development, as well as encouraging creativity with cooking and trying new foods.
Over the years, many people have feared raising children on a plant-based diet, worrying their child will not get adequate nutrition. Despite these claims, a vegan diet for children has been approved by experts.
