Lounges footlong vegan hot dog

Moving Mountains has announced its latest collaboration with Lounges who will serve the world’s first foot long plant-based hot dog in 125 of its restaurants across the UK.

Almost a foot long, at 10 inches and 3cm in width, the Moving Mountains® Hot Dog will be available on the Lounges menu for £11.95 and is served with a delicious vegan Gouda cheese, fried onions, gherkins, tomatoes, pickled onions, American mustard and red pepper ketchup.

Made primarily from sunflower seeds with a delicious naturally smoked flavour and satisfyingly firm yet bouncy texture, the Moving Mountains Hot Dog looks and tastes just like a pork hot dog or frankfurter so it can be enjoyed 100% guilt-free by vegans and those looking to cut down on their meat consumption.

Speaking about the new menu addition in a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Antony Bennett, Head of Food Development at Loungers said: “We’ve had lots of demand from customers for delicious plant-based options in our Lounges. The Moving Mountains® jumbo Hot Dog is not only really delicious, it is also replicates a hot dog in every way and is created with natural ingredients including sunflower seeds.”
