The vegan chicken from TiNDLE was trialled in stores at the end of last year, and is now about to become a permanent fixture

Plant-based chicken brand TiNDLE started rolling out to more than 350 Morrisons stores across the UK this week.
Made from only nine ingredients, vegan chicken brand TiNDLE is the first product by Next Gen Foods, a Singapore-founded food tech company.
The meat alternative recipe includes soya, coconut oil and Lipi™ – and it’s the combination of these ingredients that creates the distinct chicken-like flavour.
This latest launch follows a successful trial several months ago, which marked the first time shoppers could buy the product which was previously only supplied to restaurants and cafes in the UK.
Its increasing availability marks ‘a response to rising consumer demand for plant-based chicken in the UK market’, according to TiNDLE.
Now consumers will be able to get their hands on burgers and nuggets from the brand in Morrisons stores nationwide and via the web through their online store and home delivery services, as well as from Mighty Plants.
TiNDLE for consumers
The products on offer include TiNDLE Burgers (£4), which are described as ‘juicy and tender breaded chicken burgers that can be transformed into an impressive meal in under five minutes’.
Also hitting shelves are TiNDLE Nuggets (£3.50), described as ‘convenient and bite-sized nuggets that are delicious on their own or can become a versatile and adaptable base for dishes of all cuisines, including curries, fajitas or pasta’.
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Andre Menezes, Co-Founder and CEO of the brand said the company wanted to offer consumers a tasty product that was kinder to animals and the planet.
“When we launched TiNDLE only two years ago, our ultimate goal was to bring enjoyment to the centre of people’s plates – but in a way that didn’t require the use of animals and had a less taxing footprint on our environment.
“After hearing from UK consumers on how they enjoy cooking with TiNDLE, we can’t wait to bring our newest grocery products and make it more accessible for people to incorporate into their everyday routines and recipes.”
