The Coconut Collaborative is expanding its product range to include its first hot dessert – a vegan melt-in-the-middle chocolate pudding.

The Coconut Collaborative is well-known for its coconut-based desserts and yoghurts, including it’s rich and creamy Little Choc Pots, but now the brand is expanding its range to include a hot chocolate dessert that’s the perfect after-dinner treat.

The Chocolate Melt in the Middle (£2.99/2x90g), which will launch in chillers at UK supermarkets from September 18th, features a gluten-free sponge cake filled with melting dark chocolate centre.

Speaking to The Grocer about the decision to branch out into offering hot desserts, The Coconut Collaborative founder James Averdieck said that melt in the middle desserts were “hugely popular” in the UK and this new product will “allow us to break into the after-dinner occasion”.

Earlier this year, Iceland supermarket expanded its vegan ‘No Bull’ range to include a vegan-friendly chocolate fondant dessert, the No Moo Chocolate Melt in the Middle Pudding .
