Stranger Things star Sadie Sink has encouraged everyone to consider going vegan.

The breakout actor has teamed up with sustainable fashion designer Stella McCartney to become the face of her winter campaign.

Stella’s latest collection boasts ‘innovative conscious fabrics’ including forest-friendly viscose and is free of animal fur, leather and feathers.

Speaking to GLAMOUR about the campaign, the star said: “I switched to a plant-based diet when I was 14 years old.

“I had a lot of great vegan influences in my life, and was really inspired to try it out myself. I think everyone should consider it. It can be pretty intimidating at first, but just take it day by day. Every little choice counts!”

‘Love of nature’

Stella, who recently launched a vegan skincare range, added: “I think that we have so much in common in our love of nature and Earth’s animals, but also a shared sense of empathy and ethics in how we live our lives.

“I’m so inspired by Sadie’s youth and yet her maturity in her ability as an actor. This is just the start of her career and she has so much more to give!

“She has an incredible sense of humour and fearlessness.”

Why Sadie Sink went vegan

This isn’t the first time Sink has spoken out about veganism. Last year, in an interview with GLAMOUR, the star revealed how acclaimed actor Woody Harrelson had convinced her to go plant-based.

“I’d always told myself I could never go vegan. I’m from Texas, my family are big meat-eaters,” Sink said.

“But, I decided I was going to give it a shot and I went ahead and did it. I made the switch almost five years ago after I worked with Woody Harrelson on a movie.

“He’s a very passionate vegan and his entire family is vegan as well, so by spending time with them, I was able to learn that a vegan lifestyle is totally doable and it’s not as hard as it may seem.

Sadie Sink is just one of many stars who are choosing compassion.
