Spar UK wholesaler, James Hall & Co, has launched a new vegan and vegetarian food-to-go range which will be available within Spar shops in the North of England.
The new range features a selection of sandwiches and wraps and a vegan Jala-Bean-O wrap, released under the company’s Great Northern Sandwich Company brand.
The vegan wrap, which is certified vegan, features mixed beans, sweetcorn, guacamole, salsa, sliced jalapenos and cos lettuce on a harissa wrap.
The range also includes a selection of sandwiches such as the ‘Beet It‘ which consists of chargrilled Mediterranean vegetables with tomato and onion houmous, sweet chilli sauce and rocket on a beetroot and chia seed wrap, as well as the tempting ‘Royal Spice’ – a vegan take on Coronation chicken made with chickpeas made with vegan mayonnaise, Bombay potato, mango chutney and spinach on multi-seed bread.
The range also includes a selection of grab-and-go products from Tanpopo including Vege Gyoza Dippers (Deep fried dumplings with sweet soy dip), snackable pots of Edamame beans and Bamboo & Mushroom Ramen, a fresh ramen noodle pot containing a spicy Tom Yum soup base and authentic Asian ingredients.
Peter Dodding, sales and marketing director for James Hall & Co said: “We are thrilled to unveil our new vegan and vegetarian range. These sandwiches and wraps have been developed to meet the ever-growing demand for plant-based food-to-go dining options and we are excited to see how the range develops over the coming year.”
The new products are only available within SPAR stores across the North of England (James Hall & Co serve over 640 SPAR stores across the North of England).
