Slug & Lettuce is bringing its Veganuary menu back for another year and it's packed with tasty new vegan dishes.

Bar and restaurant chain Slug & Lettuce is celebrating Veganuary with the launch of its new vegan menu that’s packed with a wide range of sweet and savoury dishes.

Whilst you wait for your food, enjoy a selection of vegan-friendly cocktails such as the strawberry or passionfruit Vegan Fake Shake cocktail.

The Fake Shakes feature a blend of Grey Goose l’Original Vodka with apple juice, vanilla syrup and a swirl of dairy-free whipped cream with your choice of passion fruit or strawberry puree.

Starters

Begin your vegan feast with a sumptuous serving of Sticky BBQ Sauce Steamed Bao Buns (£4.49) which are filled with jackfruit in a sticky BBQ sauce.

Fancy something a little lighter for your main? Try the Smoky Soya Sloppy Joe Toastada (£7.99) with vegan bacon-flavoured crumb, Violife grated mature, onion, peppers and vegan mayo or go green with the Quinoa, Chickpea & Butternut Squash Salad or Super Mixed Salad with cucumber, onion, avocado, peppers, soya beans and tomatoes finished with omega and sesame seeds.

Mains

For the mains course, Slug & Lettuce has added a wide range of tempting plant-based dishes to the menu such as the Smoked Cheeze and Beetroot Tart (£9.99) which features a vegan cheese filling with butternut squash and onion chutney, encased in a beetroot pastry tart.

There’s also a Pesto Linguine featuring a linguine pasta bound in almond pesto with wilted spinach, slow-roasted tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms, or the Quinoa Chilli (£7.49) or Thai Curry, a coconut curry with cauliflower, green beans, mangetout and peppers, served with basmati rice to choose from.

The UK’s first ‘bleeding’ burger from Moving Mountains is joining the menu too for those looking for a plant-based burger that mimics the tastes and textures of a beef burger. The B12 plant-based patty (£7.45) comes served in a vibrantly coloured beetroot bun and is layered with red pepper houmous, lettuce, smoky soya sloppy joe and Violife grated mature cheese.

Desserts

Finish off the meal with the fruity Blackcurrant Mousse Bar with raspberry coulis or the delightfully decadent Salted Caramel Bites with a chocolate-flavoured sauce.
