Following in the footsteps of the likes of Marks & Spencer who launched a huge range of affordable vegan shoes earlier this year, Sainsbury’s has launched a range of vegan-friendly shoes for women.

The new line from PETA-approved footwear brand Love Our Planet Footwear is not just free from animal products such as leather and fur, it’s also made from sustainable materials.

All polyester materials used in the collection consist of at least partly recycled polyester, whilst other style are made out of 100% recycled polyester.

All styles in the range, right down to the shoe laces, are made from plastic bottles and with water-based PU materials whilst the soles are made from 100% recycled TPR.

Love Our Planet hasn’t just considered the environmental impact when it comes to the shoes but is also using 100% recycled paper printed with a soy-based ink for the shoe boxes to ensure the wrapping is completely eco-friendly and made from recycled materials.

To ensure the ranges ethical credentials, Love Our Planet has manufactured the range under full social and environmental compliance for a fair price.

According to the website: “By creating a more sustainable branded shoe collection we help grow the mission to protect our planet whilst offering a stylish range of environmentally conscious footwear.”

With prices ranging from £35-50, the Love Our Planet range offers a range of sturdy boots, trainers and fashionable ankle boots that are perfect for the colder months.
