The egg, which is priced at £3.50, is a tasty an alternative to white chocolate and is made with real strawberry to give the egg it’s eye-catching colour. Not only is the egg dairy-free, but it’s also gluten-free too.

Sainsbury’s describes the vibrant pink chocolate eggs as: “Flecked and flavoured with delicious strawberry pieces, this vegan egg has moreish milkshake flavoured taste.”

The egg makes a welcome change for those who don’t enjoy dark chocolate as previously options for vegans at Easter have largely been limited to dark-chocolate eggs.
