Summer is fast approaching and Sainsbury’s is keen to ensure everyone can enjoy the delights of a barbequed banger as it adds new vegan sausages (RRP £2.50) from The Meatless Farm Co. to its shelves.

The Meatless Farm Co.’s new plant-based sausages provide a satisfying bite without compromising on flavour and each fresh sausage is packed full of juicy flavour, herby aromas and a meaty texture that are perfect for throwing on the BBQ this summer.

A healthy alternative to meat, the sausages are made with plant-based ingredients; from pea, soya and rice proteins to chicory root and caramelised carrot, seasoned with a special blend of herbs and spices. Not only that, the plant-based sausages are a high source of protein a good source of fibre and are also gluten-free.

Last year, Sainsbury’s added vegan mince and burger patties from the start-up brand to its vegan range to offer customers competitively priced alternatives in comparison to their meaty counterparts.

The Meatless Farm Co’s sausages are available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from mid-May.
