Ripple Foods — known for its range of pea protein-based milk products — have debuted a new line of vegan half & half in two flavours, original and vanilla.

Ripple Foods launch new line of vegan half & half milks

Ripple replaced the cholesterol and saturated fats typically found in traditional dairy-based half & half with a proprietary blend of plant-based oils rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Not only does Ripple milk boast lower sugar content than most other milk, it uses 25 times less water than milk to produce and has half the carbon footprint.

Producing a dairy-free half and half was important to Ripple Foods because as Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Adam Lowry told VegNews Magazine, “When it comes to a dairy-free half and half, we noticed the current options were a bit limited in terms of texture, flavor, and healthy fats. Our goal was to create a creamy, delicious product with a healthy plant-based fat content that works well both in coffee and while cooking or baking.”

Ripple is currently working on developing vegan Greek yogurt, and released child-friendly packs of its vegan milk in May.

The introduction of Ripple’s vegan half & half will begin this week at Whole Foods Markets and select Target stores nationwide.
