Pop-superstar, artist and businesswoman Rihanna has announced the launch of a classy new capsule collection, FENTY Faux Leather Capsule, featuring stylish outerwear pieces made from vegan leather.

The new line is reportedly inspired by the iconic ‘Small Trades’ photograph by celebrated Vogue photographer Irvin Penn. Touted as Penn’s ‘monumental work’, his work captured skilled workers in their work uniforms.
The brand said its designs had been “inspired by utility wear and uniforms as proud markers of identity.”
Announcing the launch of the animal-friendly capsule collection, which features oversized jackets, hoodies, skirts, corset dress, and baggy pants, the brand said it was “a proud moment for us in a difficult time.”
Celebrities have already been spotted sporting pieces from the collection, with supermodel Bella seen flaunting the oversized shirt from Ri Ri’s new collection at the Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Fashion Week in Paris.
The new faux leather collection is available in an “elegant new colour palette” of pale pinks and black, and the supple vegan fabric is finished with contrasting stitches, snap buttons, flap pockets, side-slits, front pouch pockets, and high-neck, depending on the style and wear. FENTY calls the vegan leather used “Café Latte faux leather.”
“The tough, protective connotations of leather and striking silhouettes of uniforms are combined with the soft, rippling faux leather to give a relaxed FENTY feel,” the fashion label writes, adding “– this juxtaposition speaks to the FENTY DNA of contrasts, rebelliousness, and redefined luxury.”
The Faux Leather pieces range between $540 and $1,030 and are available to purchase online.
