Dominos launched two vegan pizzas last month, a Vegan Margarita and a Vegan Vegi Supreme alongside a dairy-free version of their infamous Garlic and Herb Dip.
Although the pizzas have received mixed reviews from vegans on social media, Domino’s has described the customer response as ‘very encouraging’ and seen a surge in sales across the company of almost 19%.
Domino’s original recipe pizza bases contain milk, so prior to the launch of the new pizzas, vegans were unable to order from the popular chain at all.

In its Q3 trading statement, Domino’s said: “We were delighted to launch our new vegan-friendly pizzas nationally in September…
“This launch follows over a year of development to ensure the freshly made vegan dough replicates the unmistakable Domino’s taste millions of fans know and love, together with Domino’s very own vegan cheese alternative.
Rival chains Papa Johns and Pizza Hut already have extensive vegan menus including plant-based meats, so with Dominos bosses pleased, we hope this is the start of even more vegan options to come.
