Take your homemade pizzas to the next level with meat-free brand Quorn’s latest plant-based product launch – vegan pepperoni.
The meat-free slices are available to purchase now in select Sainsbury’s stores with a recommended retail price of £2.20 for a 100g pack.
As well as being free from animal ingredients, the Quorn vegan pepperoni is also free-from gluten and soy with a ‘delicious smokey flavor’ that makes them ideal for topping pizzas with, or using in sandwiches and wraps.
The Vegan Pepperoni is the latest addition the brand’s Vegan Deli range, which launched in 2018 and currently consists of Quorn Smoky Ham Free Slices and Quorn Chicken Free Slices.
‘Tasty and sustainable’
“Interest in vegan diets continues to build momentum. We launched the Quorn Vegan Deli range to meet this demand by providing quick, tasty and sustainable options for lunchtime sandwiches and salads and convenient evening meals,” said Gill Riley, Marketing Director at Quorn Foods UK.
“Vegan Deli products are growing significantly, from a value of £1.9m in 2018 to £15.5m this year, and it’s because of this success that we’re introducing a Vegan Pepperoni to the Quorn Deli range, offering shoppers more choice and opening up the category.
“And with more people making more meals at home and increasing numbers now embarking on the return to work, there is a renewed demand for options that can also be taken into work to eat at lunchtime.”
