Pret A Manger is a popular place to go for hungry vegans and vegetarians looking for meat-free options when out and about thanks to its huge range of plant-based options.
Now the sandwich shop chain, which boasts 389 locations in the UK alone, is adding nine new items to its menu, including a vegan version of its popular meatball wrap.
Pret is keen to show its customers that choosing plant-based options doesn’t mean compromising on taste with the new meatless wrap. In fact, the company is so sure that customers will enjoy its new vegan meatball wrap that it won’t be selling the meaty version for an entire month.
“To encourage more people to try the new plant-based meat alternative hot wrap, we’ve decided to pull our Swedish meatball wrap for a month as we’re that confident our customers will quickly fall in love with it,” Pret’s UK Food & Coffee Director Briony Raven said in a statement.
The new plant-based menu is packed full of tasty new options and will launch at both Pret and Veggie Pret outlets nationwide from the 5th of January.
Pret is launching a vegan hoisin mushroom wrap which replaces duck with mushrooms for a healthy and tasty plant-based lunch option.

Six of the new vegan menu items will launch at all regular Pret stores, including two new breakfast options to get your day off to a healthy start.
Get up and go with the new coconut porridge made with oats, red quinoa and coconut milk or opt for something a little different with the new vegan breakfast baguette made with smashed avocado, roasted mushrooms and roasted tomatoes.
Giving customers more options at lunchtime, Pret is also adding two new wraps to its regular store menus including a tempting vegan hoisin mushroom wrap and a sunshine ‘n spice wrap made with curried chickpeas and sweet mango chutney.
The final three new vegan options will launch exclusively at Veggie Pret stores in London and Manchester and include an acai and almond butter smoothie bowl; an avo and chickpeas herb wrap; and a vegan chef’s Italian salad featuring toasted chickpeas, sliced avocado, baby tomatoes, cucumber, shiitake and chestnut mushrooms, and salad leaves.
