Pret A Manger’s much-anticipated Christmas Menu returns today. The classic Veggie Christmas Lunch sandwich is joined by the Very Merry Christmas Lunch, Pret’s popular vegan Christmas sandwich which made its debut last year.
Pret’s chefs have created a special vegan stuffing that is combined with grilled carrots, crispy onion, caramelised pecans, spinach and a Port & orange cranberry sauce for a deliciously festive grab-and-go option.
The coffee-shop chain has also added a Curried Chickpea & Mango Chutney sarnie with lightly-spiced curried chickpeas combined with spring onions, raisins, red peppers and our sweet mango chutney and finished with a handful of spinach leaves and fresh coriander.
Salads
If salads are more your cup of tea then why not try the falafel mezze which features sweet potato falafel with roasted butternut squash and a dollop of chunky humous. Served with pickled cabbage, sliced cucumber and a pot of ancho chilli dressing.
Enjoy lunch on the go with the Sweet Potato Falafel & Smashed Beets Veggie Box, which consists of turmeric & sweet potato falafel, smashed beetroot humous, avocado and long-stem broccoli on a bed of brown & black rice and finished with a pot of zingy green dressing.
Sweet Treats
If you’re looking for a sweet treat to accompany the festive sandwich then be sure to grab the chocolate and coconut pot which is a rich dessert of dark chocolate and coconut ganache topped with roasted coconut chips.
If you’d prefer something to nibble on then don’t miss the almond butter bites, which are little bites of dark chocolate filled with almond butter and a touch of sea salt.
Last but not least is Pret’s famous almond butter and dark chocolate cookie with sea salt to give it a delicious depth of flavour.
Pret’s Christmas Campaign
As always, Pret’s Christmas menu is supported by a festive campaign to raise awareness of the work of its charity, the Pret Foundation Trust (PFT). The PFT has been running for more than 20 years with the aim of alleviating homelessness. Every Christmas Sandwich sold will donate 50p to support the Pret Foundation Trust, including running its fleet of Charity Run vans which redistribute unsold food to the homeless throughout the night, every night.
