High-street Italian restaurant chain Pizza Express has added more delicious vegan options to its vegan summer menu.
After mid-year figures revealed last year that high-street Italian pizza chain Pizza Express’ free-from pizzas were outselling its classic ones and that sales of the award-winning Vegan Giardiniera had increased by 36%, the company has been on a mission to increase the amount of meat-free options on offer.
The restaurant has added a number of tasty new vegan options to its menu this summer to give vegans plenty of options when dining out.
To start, vegans can enjoy Pea, Broad Bean & Mint Arancini which are baked broad bean, mint and risotto balls coated in golden breadcrumbs served with a white bean and basil puree and fresh rocket.
Another new pizza option has also been launched in the form of the Leggera Vegan Roasted Veg pizza which is fully loaded with roasted pepper, courgette and aubergine with tomato, garlic oil, basil, vegan mozzarella, rocket and fresh parsley and finished with mixed grains and fresh tomato.
Those with a sweet tooth can tuck into the Chocolate & Amaretto Parfait – a creamy chocolate and amaretto parfait on a crumbly biscuit base and topped with chocolate shavings. There’s good news for those who avoid gluten as this boozy dessert is also gluten-free!
Autumn menu
Not only has the restaurant added these new options to its menu this summer, but it is also rumoured to be launching a long-awaited vegan calzone and vegan cheese-stuffed mushrooms to its menu on the 17th September.
