Veganism is booming in the UK, and keen to take advantage of this fast-growing movement, takeaway pizza chain Papa John’s has hired its first-ever Chief Vegan Officer to help them to expand their menu with tasty new vegan options.

The company posted the role in 2019, seeking a candidate who would “be the pizza chain’s eyes and ears of upcoming vegan trends” and who would be tasked with developing “hard to resist vegan dishes that’ll be sure to blow the minds of meat-eaters and veggie-lovers alike.”

But who is the successful candidate? It’s none other than hugely popular food blogger Clare Every of The Little London Vegan on Instagram!

The blogger regularly shares vegan restaurant and product reviews to her audience of over 85,000 so is well placed to offer Papa John’s plenty of advice on how to create tasty vegan options its customers will love, as well as keeping them up to date with the latest trends.

Taking to Instagram to share the news, Every wrote: “THE NEWS IS OUT – I‘M @papajohnsuk’s FIRST EVER ‘CHIEF VEGAN OFFICER… Now there’s a job title I’ll struggle to ever top and yes, it’s very much a real role, and possibly the best one in the world.⁣⁣⁣

⁣”Over the next six months, I’ll be helping the team develop their vegan products and expand their plant-based offering. I’ll be the eyes and ears for the company, keeping them up to date with all of the latest trends and developments from the vegan world
