Oumph!’s range of vegan meat alternatives will soon be available to purchase in Asda supermarkets, and the supermarket will also be the first in the UK to launch the brand new Oumph! Burger.
Multi-award winning Swedish brand Oumph! is releasing its range of plant-based meat alternatives in Asda supermarket in the UK for the first time ever to give consumers plenty of choice for their BBQs this summer.
Five Oumph! products are part of the initial launch, which will take place the week commencing 1st of July: Pulled Oumph!, Kebab Spiced, The Chunk, Thyme & Garlic and The Oumph! Burger.
The Oumph! Burger
The brand new Oumph! Burger is the perfect plant-based patty for those looking for meat-free options for summer BBQs thanks to its meaty taste and texture.
Oumph! described the new product saying: “The Oumph! Burger is a premium plant-based burger with a perfect bite, inspired by a juicy rare burger, with the big difference being that the Oumph! Burger is made with entirely plant-based ingredients, and the fine red colour comes from beetroot.
In a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living, Account Manager at Oumph! and Food for Progress, Laura Weadock, said: “We are delighted to confirm our launch with ASDA, as Oumph! is the perfect choice for the increasing number of consumers who are looking for tasty, easy to cook plant-based alternatives.”
“The Oumph! Burger launched in the Nordic countries earlier this year, and off the back of that we immediately saw a huge consumer demand in the UK – it’s sure to be a plant-based favourite on the barbecue this summer,” continued Weadock.
Gemma Rutter, Buying Manager at ASDA, added: “The plant-based category is expanding rapidly and with more consumers trying to reduce their meat consumption, Oumph! is perfect for them, for vegetarians and for vegans too. We’re very pleased to introduce high-quality Oumph! products to our customers as a part of our expanding frozen vegan and free-from range”.
Oumphs! range will launch in Asda stores across the UK from July 1st.
