Oumph! has launched its first-ever range of vegan chilled products in time for Veganuary 2023.

The Swedish brand has debuted its Korean BBQ and Tandoori chunks in the UK – priced at an introductory offer of £1.75 for a 180g box.

‘Mouth-watering mock meat’

Although Oumph’s vegan meat alternatives are usually found in the freezer aisle, the new chilled chunks offer something different to add to your vegan recipes.

Both versions of the soy-based chunks are coated with a mix of spices that are designed to get your tastebuds watering and are the perfect addition to wraps, curries, stir-fries and even bao buns.

They take just 3-4 minutes to fry until crispy, so are a great addition to quick vegan recipes you can whip up in under 30 minutes.

Oumph!’s new range – where to find it

From January 1, Oumph!’s chilled products will be available exclusively in Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

In a statement to Vegan Food & Living, the company’s co-founder Anders ‘Ankan’ Linden said: “We’re on a mission to banish boring, so we create food that gives customers a plant-based slap in the face.

“Chilled in style but not in nature, our Tandoori and Korean BBQ Chunks kill boring – they’re here to provide a spicy kick that leaves your tastebuds wanting more.”

Since launching in the UK back in 2017, Oumph! products can usually be found in Iceland, The Food Warehouse, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and a number of independent stores.
