Norwich-based vegan pizza company One Planet Pizza are now selling their award-winning frozen vegan pizzas via Ocado.
Announcing the news in a Facebook post, the company wrote: “We’re SUPER excited for our biggest announcement yet… We’re now available on Ocado which means that a whole lot more of you will now be able to grab a pizza the One Planet action! Visit the link in our bio to get 15% off with our introductory offer.”
Ocado will be stocking four varieties of vegan from One Planet Pizza, including Three Sheese Margherita, Mediterranean Roasted Vegetable, Exotic Fungi Feast and Hawaiian. The pizzas will feature Bute Island coconut oil-based “Sheese” and wheat-based Vegandeli meat.
In a statement sent to Plant Based News, a spokesperson for the family-run company said: “We have had to expand our production very quickly in order to meet the increasing demand for our pizzas, including the launch on Ocado, and it’s great that our fans/customers will now be able to order online across the UK.
“Our pizzas continue to win awards for their taste and flavor, and Ocado, with its focus on healthy and ethical foods, is a perfect fit for us.”
Ocado Buying Manager, Penina Kahtan, added: “We’re excited to welcome One Planet Pizza to our frozen range. From its award-winning great taste to the compostable pizza box, this new launch will resonate with many of our customers, offering high-quality plant-based cuisine in a convenient format.”
One Planet Pizza’s range will retail at £5.49. However, until February 19, there will be a five per cent discount as an introductory offer for Ocado customers.
