Online supermarket Ocado has added nine brand new vegan products to its store, including cheeses and a range of meat-alternatives.

In January, Ocado added over 90 new vegan products to its dedicated vegan webshop, including vegan ice-cream, egg-free mayonnaise and vegan meat-alternatives, to provide easy access to plant-based alternatives, all delivered straight to your door.

Now the online grocery store has added nine brand new own-brand vegan products to its vegan range.

New products in the range include:

  • Chicken style escalopes
  • Chicken style nuggets
  • Chicken style pieces
  • Meat-free mince
  • Spicy bean burgers
  • Vegetable quarter pounders
  • Mushroom, lentil and quinoa burgers
  • Cheddar style cheese alternative
  • Mozzarella style cheese slices

Speaking about Ocado’s decision to ramp up its vegan offerings, Buying Manager Jacques Thudichum commented: “Veganism and flexitarianism have seen a real surge in popularity in recent years, with plant-based alternatives becoming a key focus for us. We’re constantly expanding our range to offer new and exciting products, keeping ahead of key trends and meeting customer demand. This month we’re adding over 90 products to our vegan offering – meaning we now offer the largest vegan range of any UK supermarket.

“The expanded range includes new meat-free mains, dairy-free desserts and ‘free from’ cooking ingredients – including our brand new Ocado Own Brand vegan range. Through our dedicated vegan webshop we hope to provide customers with everything they need, whether looking for simple swaps or fully embracing the vegan trend.”
