Following the success of its Barista Edition milk, oat milk company Oatly is launching a new product that combines chocolate and coffee.

Oatly’s Barista Edition milk is a very popular product. It even sold out across the UK last year following major demand (and a machine breakdown which led to limited availability).

A spokesperson for Oatly said: ‘Although we’ve seen a growth in demand over the last few years, I don’t think anyone could have anticipated quite how much demand has grown in the UK! Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of what they consume, and are more switched on when it comes to sustainable food production and consumption.’

Seemingly, there is no better time for the launch of a new Barista Edition product. Vegan publisher VegNews noticed the new milk at the Food Trade Show Expo East. According to them, the Barista Edition Mocha Oat Milk will be available in stores from 2019.

The Oatly spokesperson explained: ‘Without a doubt, the movement towards plant-based is gathering momentum, and Oatly fulfills the role of making the easy switch to a milk alternative.’
