Oatly is releasing a range of vegan oat milk-based ice-creams in UK supermarkets this month.
Popular Swedish oat milk brand Oatly, the makers behind the incredibly popular Barista-style oat drink which is the perfect addition to hot drinks, is launching its range of oat-milk based ice-creams in the UK.
Launching in Tesco from the end of October, Oatly will be bringing a trio of tempting oat milk ice-cream flavours to UK freezers – Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl and Salted Caramel. Priced at £4.50 per tub, the tubs contain 235, 220 and 246 calories per 100g respectively.
According to the company, the Chocolate Fudge flavour “breaks all our own records for unhealthiness, imbalance and general reckless abandon” whilst the Hazelnut Swirl is described as “a luxurious caramel ice cream with salty caramel sauce and candied hazelnuts”.
The decadent Salted Caramel flavour boasts a “smooth and creamy consistency” which “allows the salty caramel ripple to shine through and perfectly balance the sweetness of the vanilla ice cream.”
Oatly has also revealed that whilst seven flavours are available in the US market, it will currently only offer the three flavours in the UK but is “always looking at new products and flavours that will make it easy for consumers to make the simple switch from dairy to oat,” according to Oatly UK general manager Ishen Paran.
Oatly’s vegan ice-creams are currently available to purchase in the US, Sweden, Finland and Norway, although the company has stated that they are ‘working on’ introducing the products to ‘all’ of their markets.
