Frozen ready meal brand Root Kitchen has launched in time for Veganuary, providing delicious and nutritious vegan meals for those with a busy lifestyle.

Brother and sister-in-law duo Root Kitchen are on a mission to fill Britain’s freezers with plant-based meals.
With 1 in 3 consumers actively seeking to reduce their meat consumption and many of us living fast-paced lifestyles that leave little time for cooking, plant-based meal subscriptions can be the perfect way to eat more plants.
Root Kitchen is providing just that: delicious and nutritious vegan meals that simply require heating from frozen. The initial range consists of ten plant-based favourites from a rich Italian Aubergine Al Forno to an Indian spiced Tofu Tikka Masala.
The brand allows you to build your own box of meals, choosing which dishes tickle your fancy, which is then delivered by a carbon-neutral courier. Moreover, the dishes are packaged in recyclable and biodegradable packaging and there is a free returns scheme for the liners and ice packs that keep your meals frozen. Who said you couldn’t eat convenient and planet-friendly meals?

‘Accessible for as many people as possible’
In a statement sent to Vegan Food and Living, Co-Founder Rishma Remtulla told us:
“I was diagnosed with ME in 2019 and whilst looking at natural ways to control the condition all the research I did overwhelmingly pointed to adopting a plant-based diet.
“I’ve worked in Product Development for my family prepared meal business for over 14 years and saw an opportunity to create a range of products that make it accessible for as many people as possible to have something healthy, delicious and plant-based in their freezer for when they are short on time or feeling too lazy to cook.”
Root Kitchen is adamant that freshly prepared nutritious food shouldn’t come at an extortionate price point, so their vegan meals are affordable enough to be accessible while still packed with local and high-quality ingredients.
